new c1000a modem with fast ethernet but slow wireless

I installed my new Actiontec C1000a from Century Link today and am getting just about 40 down and 5 up on the ethernet cable but only 2 down and 1 up on the wireless network. Anyone have this experience or any suggestions on how to remedy? Thx.

Get a freeware program called INSSIDER. It will show other wireless networks around.

I have 40 around my apartment complex so I changed to a channel with very low usage.
