Pro-Rated refund?

So I'm porting our of Viatalk and my account is set to renew on Sunday. The port isn't complete yet. If I cancel my VT account before the port is complete, what will happen? If I let my account renew and then cancel it in a few days when the port completes, do I get a refund?

Anyone dealt with this before?

Thanks.

You will loose your number.

Try to switch to a month to month plan until port completes. Cost more but beats loosing your number.

Number portability is easy: the action of porting automatically closes the account you're porting from.

If you cancel *before* the number ports, what do YOU think will happen?

Wrong! For some reasons voip companies do not consider porting out an automatic cancel of an account. Viatalks ToS specifically state a trouble ticket is required.

The act of transferring a phone number to another provider does not constitute the cancellation of an account. In the event of an outbound phone number transfer you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to contact ViaTalk LLC in the form of a customer service ticket.
