Re: The real issue is. . .Adult TV is not the answer. Mickey & Minnie, Popeye & Olive Oil, Tom & Jerry, Will E. Coyote & Roadrunner didn't kill, didn't get hurt and there was a moral: good triumphs over evil. It's for the youngest child. A 10 year old has different diversions.
And yes it IS a distraction but only for a few seconds at a time. He is going to try to process the noise he heard before the gun, where he hid, what he heard while he was in hiding, how the police, fire and EMT sirens made him feel, how walking single file with eyes closed made him feel, etc..
Some children will never return to that school. Some may never attend another public school. Some will have "panic" attacks they cannot articulate. Hopefully the loving child psychologist and psychiatrists won't view the massacre as a cash cow - thereby deserting a child from a poor family. As a professional there are times when one does pro bono work because it is the right thing to do for the right reason.
In the scheme of life one hour is nothing. |

The real issue is people who think it is cool to pick on other people, because they just want to join in, or because they cant face their own issues in life and take it out on the little guy.
The real issue is fathers, or mothers, or people close to the family that bring abusive behavier to the kid(s) because they went throught it themselves, and didn't take care of there own problems so they vented their past on there kids, or whatever issues they have.
The real issue is, that the kid was neglected and wasn't taught the things of a man, or people refused to help/teach that kid so he can be a good person. |
