Re: G4 is dead

If you or anyone else is interested in technology, gadgets, computers, the Internet, etc., I recommend Leo Laport's Twit network as a great resource. Access at:

»twit.tv/

A schedule of live production streams is on the right of the page.

Click on shows and all shows. Currently ~25 different shows are being produced weekly and many hundreds of episodes are available for download. There is a schedule of when the shows may be viewed streamed live on the live feed link. The advantage of the live stream is that there is a very active chat room. Live shows are not continuously provided but the live feed will present reruns of recent shows if no show is currently being produced.

There was a gamers show for a while, but it didn't get much traction, so it was cancelled.

I can't say enough good things about twit.tv and all of Leo's projects. Great recommendation.

Although Esquire TV will be geared towards the modern man, I don't see the channel going anywhere ... It reminds me of when SpikeTV tried to become the "Channel for Men" ... That's about the time I quit watching it because the programming ... let's face it, s(_)cked. I see Esquire as SpikeTV v.2 which will fail.

I personally miss the Ren and Stimpy Adult Party and the Stripperella show.

Came across what the new logo may end up looking like for the Esquire channel. »logos.wikia.com/wiki/G4_(TV_channel)

I must say, the goodbye videos for AOTS and XPLAY was pretty emotional. Liked the cameo of Leo LaPorte and Patrick Norton in the end.

Woah I missed that. I've only seen the goodbye specials in bits and pieces since they've been repeated tons, I just keep flipping by every now and then.

If you read the first post of this top you'd see that the U.S. version of G4 is not off the air, but it's programming is all done, all original programming stopped production just before the new year. It's about to be changed into the Esquire channel on April 22nd.

G4 Canada it a totally different channel and handled very differently from the US version.

That's probably why they've been playing James Bond movies for the past 2 months...
