I don't know the output of either plant, but it may not be so cut and dry to assume that it'll move to Lansing.<br><br>The CAW are crying about how they'll now move engine production to Tonawanda.  Maybe they will, but it won't be in the near-term, and New York is still more toxic to this kind of stuff than even McGuinty's Ontario is.]]></description>

It's old.<br><br>That 3L you had in your Taurus wasn't a Vulcan.  It would have had to be a Duratec.  The Vulcan only had 12 valves, though like GM Ford used that engine from the mid-80s well into the late 2000s because it was a solid beast that worked well.  The Vulcan in my Topaz would have only been rated for 140hp, for some reason I always thought it was more.  Even the late-2000s Vulcans were only good for a bit more hp than they were 20 years earlier.]]></description>

I can change the rear bank spark plugs (near firewall) without  rotating the engine towards the radiator as I had to do on the Impala...<br><br>Apparently the engine bay is larger for a reason... The 5.3 litre V8 300hp was an option as well as the 3.6 litre.  Actually the 3.6 makes more horsepower then the 3.8 240hp vs 200hp... But the 200hp is more then enough for me...]]></description>

Don't want the dime a dozen 2.8 though, a little underpowered IMO, so the rarer 3.6 would suffice. <description><![CDATA[Kitlope posted : Got a 1997 Buick LeSabre myself that I've had for the last 7 years, my great uncle owned it for 9 years before that. Best 5 G's I ever spent. It's an old man car alright but other than doing regular and some preventive maintenance the thing is bulletproof, and of course it helps that my uncle took care of it too. It has 280 000 km on it and other than a little rust at the rocker panel (mostly drivers side), the V6 3.8 has been absolutely troublefree and the tranny is still shifting like new. All good things must come to an end though and in a couple years I'll be picking up something else, perhaps a 3.6L Cadillac.]]></description>
