East Moline, IL | IL - Horrible speed on 50/5 cable in East Moline, IL I've got the Ultra50 package and am currently seeing speeds of 1-1.3 down and 1.5-1.8 up from several speed test sites. Power cycled modem and wireless router and tested from gigabit LAN connected PC to make sure it wasn't wireless interference. Does Mediacom have something down in the Quad City area? |

I just switched from 20/2 to 50/5 a few days ago and I was cruising along at nearly 50 down for the first couple of days. However, yesterday and today my speeds have dropped below what I was getting with 20/2.
I am in Moline (which is very near East Moline/Silvis) and right now (2pm) i'm only getting about 10 down on several speed tests (different servers too). While better than these fellas near me, it's still a far cry from what I was getting a couple of days ago when I first switched to 50/5.
I hope it's just something going on in the area. I do not believe my node has been congested because I was consistently getting 20/2 when I was on that plan for the last year or so. |

Something is going on in the Quad City Area. I'm in Silvis as well. Doing better than 1 down but it is going up and down on speedtest.net so I can't get a consistent reading. Surfing speed is definitely slow. |

Yep they got better very late last night for a little bit but are now back to max 10M down, if that. |

I live in Moline and have also been having trouble since yesterday. I have 12/1 service and I usually get the full 12 Mbps if not a little faster, even during peak hours. But right now I am only getting between 3 and 4 megabits down (upload is still at normal speed). |
