2 edits | [Twitter] Court Hashtag - for Monday ? Re: TekSavvy vs Voltage Pictures LLC.
Legal Docs
What #hashtag are we all going to be following on Twitter on monday scheduled to be heard as early as 9:30 AM, December 17, 2012 at Federal Court of Canada, 180 Queen Street West in Toronto, expected to last 1 hour. See: Docket T-2058-12
I think its important that we have one in particular so we can follow the stream.
I also encourage anyone who's attending if at all possible please DO tweet as much as you can about this so those of us at home/work can keep abreast of developments.
Edit: I realize you may not be able to tweet during or inside the court building. But if things carry on for a considerable time there may be breaks where you can slip outdoors and fire off tweets, either as you arrive, leave, go on breaks etc... Just look for opportunities.

 | Yep pull out that cell phone in court. See how long you stay in there. |

1. General Policies
Proceedings are generally open to the public and media (except pre-trial or dispute resolution conferences, or cases where a specific exception applies).
Laptops, Blackberries and similar devices may be used in the courtroom for note-taking or electronic communication, so long as they do not cause any disturbance.
Cell phones, pagers and similar devices may be brought into the courtroom but must be set on silent mode and not used for voice communication.

| said by TSI Martin:I'd suggest simply using #teksavvy Ok so #teksavvy #cippic for sure, and others like #C11 etc... as optionals. |
|
 | Sounds reasonable. I was planning to go but am beat up with the flu/something similar. If I can make it, I'll be tweeting it with these tags. |
|
 | reply to TSI Martin said by TSI Martin:I'd suggest simply using #teksavvy No. Odds are that after tomorrow Teksavvy will no longer have any role to play other than handing over Personally Identifying information to Voltage. |

| said by TSI Martin:If not, how about you propose something. I propose we make VP/Trolls get an individual court order per each individual IP, that'd make 'em slow down a LOT. No sense handing over all 2,300 of em in one compact list. Oh and charge 'em the cost for doing so per IP along with an extra fee (which we can then use to fund modem approvals ) muha ha ha ha. *wishful thinking, I know* -- IF TREE = FALL AND PEOPLE = ZERO THEN SOUND = 0 Nine.Zero.Burp.Nine.Six Twitter = Twizted Chat = irc.teksavvy.ca |

1 edit | reply to TSI Martin said by TSI Martin:If not, how about you propose something. I don't use Twitter so I don't know what's fair game in a hashtag (length, special characters, spacing, punctuation). That said, #VoltageTroll kinda captures the identity of the principal player and public perception of their actions. That 'structure' is easily extensible to #[insert production company name here]Troll |

| reply to TwiztedZero I'll be using #teksavvy no matter the outcome. What does them being force to give up information have to do with anything? You know their intentions are to help us if they can. I wouldn't know what to do in their position either. It's easy to say you'd help the customer but you don't exactly have the fate of all those employees in your hands either and the fact that they are part of the reason why we still have awesome service and good rates. Quick to look at the negative when they are fighting against the odds from the start. So please do use #teksavvy. Easy to remember. |

Are you going to dupe post here from twitter? Or would you rather concentrate on Twitter? I don't mind copying across as you tweet.
EDIT - Merov got there first. Over to you Maestro. |
