Recent newsserver provider experiences

Looks like people have been noticing a lot of incompletes recently. I think it would be a worthwhile thread to share our thoughts about various providers.

Newsdemon (highwinds media reseller) - very negative experience. They take down everything from a posting, so even if you have multiple providers there is no chance of using 2 providers from different locations to complete your request. I've cancelled my account with them.

Fastusenet (Readnews reseller - much better than newsdemon. They have more completes and for most of the stuff they take down, they only take out parts so that you have a somewhat decent chance of getting a complete download if you combine them with one of the Holland providers.

Can you guys share your thoughts about other providers? I wonder how people on giganews and their resellers are doing along with some of the Holland providers.

That is completely different from what I have seen.

I just signed up for SSL-News.info (xsnews reseller) and I am getting
quote:
"12/17/2012 5:05:56 AM ยค Server response: "430 No such article". Part Msg ID: "*DSLREPORTEDIT-Censored*". Part Format: "Unknown".
"
So it seems even NL providers are biting the dust.

I wonder, though, if it's just not a matter of time. I hope not.

Most likely is. Though I will make sure it is as long as possible.

No, it is not dead yet. You just have to know where to look. There was 2 popular shows on Sunday night. Took 2+ hours to populate.
I'm 70 and if I can find them anyone can!
