[Speed] New customer. 5mb downloada

Hello,

Been a comcast hsi customer for less then 1 week. First day was ok. Since then, download speeds are constantly. 500kb down and 3mb up with latency of 200ms. Performed all the standard plug/unpkug/restart. Even went and bought a new modem motorola sb6121, had it provisioned, same issue. Line comes from pole directly to modem. Upstream power is 55db.

Bty, my neighbors have the same issue.

Your upstream power level is too high. You need a service call, as a temporary solution you could remove any excess splitters you have, which might help a bit.

Well, that's your problem right there. 55 upstream is gonna cause a ton of problems. Give Comcast a call and let them know you are having problems. They will see this right away and have someone out to fix it.

Less than 50, ideally. If its at 55 in the winter, you will have severe problems in the summer if this isn't fixed.

Latency is far better, the dl is slow, upload is actually faster then my plan. If i do a direct connect to a pc, the speeds are still similar.

If he got that much of a difference just by tightening the connectors, I wonder what his upstream SNR looks like.

That appears to be the wireless/mobile test?
if so try a wired direct to the modem test
