For UNLOCKED IPHONE users in the MAJORITY OF Southern California, THIS ADVERTISING/MARKETING IS A LIE.
Wheres the lie? TMO customers now see much faster access now than before with the Iphone, or did you not know that before the refarming you could only achieve 256kbps with an iphone on tmobiles as it was on there 2G edge network. 11 mbps is a huge difference, one that many iphone users on Tmobile will highly appreciate. I know a few ATT iphone customers who are still on 3G unlimited plans using iphone 4s & 5 that wont give up the unlimited and guess what even though there throttled to 3-4 mbps as there on a 3G plan they can do everything the average 4G plan customers can do and just as fast.
A speed test means nothing really its what app you plan to use your Internet connection for the most that counts, as long as the phones Internet connection keeps up ( with no buffering or long lag time) the average user does not care what the speed is. TMO does need to come up off there throttle the 120kbps throttle after your allotment is whats killing there business. The bare minimum should be between 256-768kbps down. IE: Throttle 256 kbps for pay by the min customers, 512 kbps for monthly 4G prepaid customers, 768 kbps for contract customer unless they pay for the full unlimited packages.
