<description><![CDATA[Tig posted : When I'm resurrecting a neglected engine I dose the fuel with seafoam and spray a good dose in the carb throat.  Prime the fuel system as best I can, turning the engine over a couple times.  Repeat the prime and engine turn over daily for a few days, then try to start it.  <br>Letting the fuel system soak gives the goo a chance to dissolve and also any dried seals get a chance to swell.  With the goo loosened up and the seals sealing, I've found most engines will start and run.  Patience is the key.<br>Seafoam, I'm told is mostly naptha, but it's my favourite snake oil for engines.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[EUS posted : Hello all,<br>I have to service the carb on my mid 80's snowblower after leaving gas in for for 2 years.<br>I suppose one of the potential pitfalls would be if I screw up the gasket, as parts are going to be hard to find....<br>What should I clean the carb with?<br>Mineral spirits?<br>Hopefully it will be something really simple like the bob (don't know the tech term) is stuck closed....<br><small>--<br><b><A HREF="http://www.tdprojecthope.com/"> ~ Project Hope ~ </a></b></small>]]></description>
