Re: Which ISP? cheapest unlimited high speed Montreal

I called colba and I'm over 3km from the tour so speed is 4-5mps or worse if in a old building with bad quality cables which I suspect is the case.

So I'm still looking... I ruled out Acanac, cooptel and montreal-dsl.

I'll either go with Distributel (Unlimited DSL Internet 15)
which has low activation fees : $29 + I can use my D-Link router. + phone line : 15,45 $.

or a plan from electronicbox.net (I haven't check all the fees yet..)

any other suggestions?

I'm a happy Acanac cable customer. This has always been my backup plan for customers who want to save. Distributel and Acanac share the same cable core so if you register to Acanac cable, you'll have Distributel's network.. IP, backbone, etc. Just the billing is done by Acanac.

Distributel owns Acanac.
montreal-dsl is a reseller of TekSavvy.
electronicbox doesn't offer unlimited ADSL2+ or VDSL2 service.

The only ISPs offering ADSL2+ or VDSL2 service left off this list that I can think of are Velcom (avoid, they seem to have gone down the tubes) and TekSavvy.

Another option to consider is unlimited cable internet. You can get that from Acanac, Distributel, electronicbox, or TekSavvy, although some of those ISPs only have unlimited up to a certain speed.
