I can't deal with 1.5... I get faster speeds on my cell phone. I don't need 30mbps either.

I get that a promo is a promo, but if I can save over $200 a year by not givin it to charter and their over-paid a-hole of a CEO, I'm more than happy to assist in any way I can.

So put... There is no alternative. I'd pay $19.99 for 3mbps Internet if I could get it... But alas I have no options... If I don't have options I'll get creative. I can live off my phone for a month.

No offense but it sounds EXACTLY like you're trying to game the system. Yu are trying to get a promo price you are not entitled to. Also Charter stopped offering contracts a while back.

I'm just sick of paying $49.99 for 30mbps when I would be happy with 7-10mbps for a lot cheaper price on a 2 year contract...

So, any ideas to help save $20 a month?

If you need slower speed go with DSL. Won't be a ton cheaper but you may be able to get a promo with them. Then when that promo is done you can come back to Charter.

The fact is the whole concept of a PROMO is that it is TEMPORAY. So why people get mad that they can keep a promo forever is confusing.
