Also to be fair once a company starts leasing equipment they really can't guarantee you will get new hardware.

Also, If you shut down the Des Moines warehouse where are you getting equipment from direct from Motorola? Or Arris now I guess?

I have seen calls escalated all the way up and a brand new DCT is reserved for a specific customer. Mediacom has never taken requests for specific DCTs and probably never will.

In fact they are in the process of shutting down local warehouse in Des Moines so we will no longer be able to TRY to get equipment any day of the week.

Yup, its always funny to see Anonymous's responses, and compare to the type of response you get from the mediacomchad account. Mediacomchad= what mediacom support should be, anonymous=what most people experience with mediacom.

It constantly rebooted and it would just randomly loose its internet connection but the lights wouldn't indicate any problem, it was also overheating and i ran a small fan against it to stay online.

Background :

I just moved into a new house in the Des Moines area. I had Ultra 50 at my old house and it was great. I was getting upwards of 48mb a lot of the time there. For the new house they initially told me that I could only get 15 mb. When the guy called to make the appointment he said, no, I could get up to 105mb, so I said great, I'll do that.

After the installer was here and everything was set up I'm getting maybe 10-12mb and logging into their usage meter service (which I never had at my old place) it tells me I have the Ultra 50. I would be fine with the Ultra 50 if I was actually getting Ultra 50 speeds.

I haven't gotten my first bill yet, so it will be interesting to see how much I'm being charged. As long as I'm not being overcharged, I'm still happy with the service, but I'm a little ticked off that I'm getting 3 different stories from Mediacom.
