Flacco is still a pretty damn good QB. He just needs to be bit more studious to catch on to what defenses are doing. He has the physical talents to be great. He just needs to do some work between the ears. He is certainly an order of magnitude better than any other QB that the Ratbirds have had since the move to Bal'mor (except maybe for McNair in '06). Bill Simmons had a great line in last week's NFL column. He said, "Flacco has put together the quietest contract year ever. Ravens fans wouldn't freak out if he left and other teams' fans wouldn't celebrate if he was signed. Cut to Arizona fans screaming, "That not true! THAT'S NOT TRUE! We would throw Flacco a parade!!!!"

Eagles going all out today against Redskins. They have nothing to lose - their season is over anyway after next week. On their 1st drive they went for 1st down twice on 4th and 1's and converted each time. Then got a TD on Washington offsides call when they were given a free shot at end zone.
Might be an unexpected hard fight for the Redskins today. |

What a disappointing season for the Steelers. Two OT losses and two more losses due to late 4th quarter turnovers by the offense as they get set to close out the opponent. Every game this year was a nail-biter - probably not good for my heart. 
As much as it pains me, I guess I shall root for the Ratbirds the rest of the way... can Flacco avoid stupid post-season mistakes for once?
Although, as I sit here watching the Giants/Ravens game, that stupid chant from the Ratbird fans may just make me change my mind.
