channel bonding hasn't hit that area yet. It should be coming soon though if they are already sending out 100Mbps configs on the download.

some of the hubs are bonded on 4 upstream but not all. Hopefully that will be completed soon and we can see some increased upload.

same issue as with the original DOCSIS 3.0 rollout got to make room for the 4 new QAMs dedicated to HSI per node. So they have to reclaim analogs and reshuffle the QAMs around to do it. Also the CMTS cards might need to be swapped for denser cards I believe Cisco makes one that has 72 Downstreams per card and ARRIS makes one with 32 Downstreams per card along with a 24 upstream card as well from ARRIS.

Seriously man how is not having slow internet not something that is wrong with your service. Like other have mentioned go to your local service station and get your modem swapped out for a DOCSIS 3.0 modem.

Or you can go buy your own modem and avoid the rental fee. So seriously you need to go do that before complaining more about your internet not working. Lots of people have problems with old modems.

Does TWC have DOCSIS3 modems for those with digital phone service? I think my parents still use a DOCSIS2 cable modem (Arris TM502G) from its summer's installation.

Here at least they have two different D3 phone modems. Arris tg862/852 and a Ubee model.

With every single speed tier getting a significant bump its even more important to have a docsis 3 modem/mta. They can even mail you one no charge. Until you get one the problems will more than likely continue. 100meg isn't really a pipe dream IMO with D3.

Is that only during peak hours? I have an old Ambit/Ubee U10C018 cable modem. It is slower during peak hours. I assume everyone is hogging the faster speeds since the speed upgrades.

If you are renting it, swap it out for no charge. Maybe even ask for a separate unit for HSI and then just keep your phone adapter.

the changes to the internet won't happen the same night. Likely they will move the digital QAM carriers around on that date. The Dallas cluster had the QAMs rearranged when we went from 4 to 6 downstream channels for the internet.

Waco and austin are already making changes to the QAM carriers as they have put some of the basic channels that were SDV on to a QAM that is static and does not change so they can launch the HD DTA's. Also Waco has moved TBS HD from 75 (531MHz) to 41 (327MHz) to allow for TWC to use the analog space on 71 to 76 for digital services starting on the 18th of this month in the austin and waco clusters.

TWC is slowly working throughout Texas doing the upgrades. Right now they have scheduled changes for january to drop several analogs in:

San Antonio (cluster wide) 1-29-13

Suit Up posted : So... 100 Mbps down, 5 Mbps up? That's a great way to compete with symmetric 1 Gbps. Somebody needs to learn these cable companies that, with things like the cloud and youtube nowadays, we need faster upload speeds.
