Re: [Voip.ms] Survey / Feedback on restructuring Geo Locations. If the level of service and call quality can be maintained (or improved) with less downtime then it doesn't really matter where the servers are located.
Looking at it from a purely geographic point of view (ignoring other considerations) it would seem that Chicago would be a better location than New York. |

Looking at it from a purely geographic point of view (ignoring other considerations) it would seem that Chicago would be a better location than New York. It would be easier to scale up with our growth. It would provide a better level of service to a certain extent. People who were on POP's that never or rarely have issues will see no difference, and those on Data Centers that were more prone to issues due to the quality of the data center or fast growth will see an improved experience. Also, There's nothing set in stone, we could go for 5 or 6 of the POP's. But Chicago is on Ubiquity Servers, and we're leaving them as they are not on par witht he level of quality we want to provide customers. That doesn't mean there aren't other good data centers in that area. -- Martin - VoIP.ms |
