<description><![CDATA[alphapointe posted : Thanks to a donation from my friends at The Geek Group, F2B6 has a spare set of SCSI hard drives.  I just finished loading the OS and FAH on the set, so if something happens to the drives in it now, we have a spare set available. <description><![CDATA[alphapointe posted : Erin is bringing Foldy8 over tonight.  I will wipe it out and install CentOS on it, and it will become Foldy2Blade4.  The Dual Xeon server is now F2B6 (so I don't have to rewrite the graph scripts right away... F2B6 can go without being graphed for a bit, it's a low producer).<br><br>The new rack mount server cases have been shipped and will be here either tomorrow or early next week.  Once they show up, I'll get blades 4 and 5 put into them and get them into the cabinet.<br><br>I finally found a 16 port KVM cheap, so I can manage everything from one console when stuff breaks without swapping cables all over creation. <description><![CDATA[alphapointe posted : F2B1 was growling really bad this morning when I got home, so it's now in its' new case.  However, it isn't booting (kernel panic)  I think the hard drive is bad, but I'm not sure.  I'm going to try fscking it, and if that doesn't work, I'll put in a new hard drive and reinstall CentOS on it tonight or tomorrow.<br><br>EDIT: Solved. (the power supply fan is failing).<br><br>F2B4 has an issue with its' RAID controller, but the machine is still running. <description><![CDATA[alphapointe posted : OK, guys.  The foldy2 blades aren't on backup power for now (still surge protected, though).  The UPS that handled them is toast (literally... the relays are blown off the board), so it's being replaced.<br><br>The new one will be here next week (probably on Boxing day... how ironic), and the blades will be down for a bit while I get it installed.<br><br>($100 for a 2U rack mount UPS isn't a bad deal... good thing the old one blew up during the Christmas sales...) :-)<br><small>--<br>"When the hammer drops, the bullshit stops"</small>]]></description>
