Cutting tags off clothingI bought a suit (jacket and pants) and an overcoat for the suit. I cut the tags off that were on the sleeve, but they were sewn to it (they're supposed to be removed), and I can't get the threads out that held the tag in place. Any suggestions? I don't have scissors small enough to cut them and I'd probably cut the suit by accident anyway. Should I bring everything to the store and make them do it? There's gotta be an easier way. |

A large CO2 LASER would certainly do the trick... |

Perhaps a neighbor could do it for you? or even using small nailclippers...very carefully. |

Why are these tags designed like this in the first place? |

You can get small scissors at any drug store cheap... then cut the thread. |

What I've done is lift the threads with a needle (you can get kits with various sizes), then cut them against the needle with a utility or x-acto knife. Depending on how they are sewn on, the stitching will usually unravel after cutting one end. |
