Well that's not entirely true, because it will not work with Mountain Lion. Does anyone know if an older set of drivers and software will work or will some functions of the printer not work? |

There are drivers for Mountain Lion. If you need to, give Canon a call and they will help you. All you need is the Serial Number.
1-800-OK-CANON
To confirm compatability, your printer is listed here:

 | reply to chadrob30 Lets be clear is it not detecting at all, or just some functions are not working
Canon drivers come from Apple thru the OS install and updated from software updates.
More info about your install my help drill down to the problem. |

So I would follow lordpuffer's link and install those specific canon downloaded drivers. |
