Remove Authenticator

Lost my authenticator earlier this week. The real bite is I know when it happened, heard something hit the ground, but when I checked my key ring I didn't notice it missing. Found out this morning when I needed to enter my once a week code.

Put in the ticket with copy of driver's license this morning. Anyone know how long this normally takes?

Exact.. EXACT same thing happened to me with mine.

Arch was able to have mine removed in under 10 minutes from online... I believe he posted info about it in another thread. Check online to see what you can do first.

A day or two.

I cancelled my account a while back and was offered 10 days free. I thought about trying it, realized my authenticator on my phone had changed (new phone) and opened a ticket 2 days ago. It was closed yesterday.

I'd take the time to insult your intelligence but you probably wouldn't get it.

No, up until recently had a work owned phoned. Even now they pay for the plan, so data usage I limit to work. Going to go to the mobile authenticator after this. Thought I just needed the serial number, which I do have, from the authenticator to remove it from the account. Not real worried, but going on vacation and was looking to binge this weekend.

I have the dongle authenticator but took it off my account a couple months ago in favor of the mobile authenticator. it works just fine although for some reason, there's 2 extra numbers to input.

If you enabled SMS Protect:
»us.battle.net/support/en/article···otect#16

You can remove your authenticator without going through blizzard support.

Use the procedure below:
»us.battle.net/support/en/article···otect#18

If you didn't get SMS protect, you're going to wait a while.

Which is different than the mobile authenticator and is something you should setup even if it is a work phone. You won't get but one text to set it up and one other if you ever lose your authenticator again like this and will have you up and running in minutes as Metta states. Well worth the 50 cents it might cost your employer.

See. This is why I don't have an authenticator.

Nothing to lose or get broken.

Yes, but having 20 max level toons stripped is much less perferable for me. Everything has been fine for over three years. Just happened it broke off my keyring. I heard something hit the ground, looked at my key ring and had the right number of rings on my carabiner so I didn't think anything more about it since I didn't see anything around on the ground.

I had 8 or 9 toons stripped a few months ago.

Opened tickets for them all and everything was back in a day or three.

?? My account was fine after that. Changed my battle net password.

Good to go since then.

Minor inconvenience was all.
