Re: ACTA Is Dead In Europe Japan is really crazy about fighting piracy, even more so than the US I think. I am somewhat wondering if this is due to anime which is "pirated" to the west in masse.
I put pirated in quotes because lots of the pirated animes are fansubs of stuff that is not available in the west due to the funky world of rights negotiations. So I dunno if its really still piracy if there was never intention to sell it outside the country.
