tv picture freezes on ch. 2 and ch. 4 and more The CV service tech was here this morning. Checked power levels, couldn't find a problem. Changed 2 HD boxes and gone.
Problem very apparent this eve around 5:45 on both 2 and 4. Problem seems to be gone for over 20 min. now on 4. I called to get a service tech back tomorrow. Any thing I can do to help the tech resolve this problem?
It could be at the headend if everything is ok at your end or maybe he missed something. What type of cable do you have RG6 or the old cable RG59 if you have the old cable it could be losing the signal a little bit with digital that's all it takes. The signal could have been ok while the tech was there then when he left it could be acting up.
If channel 2 & 4 were pixelating because of head end problems, they would have gotten (easily) hundreds of calls by now and fixed it. I'd tell him that the boxes were replaced, and nothing else, so he knows exactly where you stand.
