Email Trash Retention Policy

Anyone know the Frontier-Yahoo mail trash retention policy?

I see SPAM is configurable up to 1 month. But don't see anything about trash.

Thanks

If you are concerned with legal privacy issues, they have nothing to do with messages that you can see or that are accessible to the user. See Electronic Frontiers Foundation EFF.org

Trash Folder

Yahoo! Mail deletes the messages in your Trash folder at occasional intervals, and it is not possible to control the time of deletion. Don't expect emails to remain in Trash for any amount of time.

Best bet is go by the basis of once a month. It seems like it's whenever Yahoo! deems it is necessary to clean up the servers. Either way, you will want to make sure you don't store stuff that you may remotely need in the trash, especially if the Frontier e-mail account is a Yahoo! Plus account with unmetered mail storage.

Thanks. That's kind of what I figured.

Exploring the use of IMAP instead of POP and was surprised to see trash emptied. I guess that's way it's called trash.

Don't think anything there that is needed, but I still have a local copy just in case.
