[BC] Telus Speedtest Server Gone

The Telus hosted speedtest server has disappeared. Anyone know why?

Currently there are 4 servers in my area, and I'm getting the best / most consistent results from the server hosted by Skyway West Business Internet. The UL / DL speeds are pretty consistent with the other sites, but the ping is consistently quite a bit lower, around 8-9 ms.

I hope the Telus speedtest server comes back and that they also host a pingtest server. The closest pingtest server is in Lynnwood, WA.

It's there. Hover over Edmonton when you open the test. It is #3.

I believe he is referring to Vancouver.

Yes, Vancouver has disappeared. But just for giggles, do a speed test to Iquauit NU.

I tried this website. It showed 90 ms ping and under 11 Mbps download. What's with that? Speedtest.net shows 9 ms ping and 27 Mbps download.

I ran it a few more times and got some better download speeds, but the ping is still 10 times slower than speedtest.net reports.

On a different note I finally maxed out my Shaw BB50 plan for the first time in a while.
