Re: Actiontec V1000H NCS firmware with A2pv6C035f.d22c DSL PHY
Even though I remember disabling IGMP on my bridged V1000H, I can still see IGMP broadcast traffic denied by my firewall. Is this normal?
The IGMP setting on the Actiontec is only for when its running in NAT mode, it does nothing in bridged mode.
Strange, my pfsense fw keeps filtering these IGMP broadcasts every couple of minutes. 192.168.0.1 is the modem's address.

That's the IGMP proxy looking for multicast members. I guess they don't actually disable the daemon down when you change the setting. Typical of the buggy garbage in that firmware.
que_ball: No you don't need the IGMP proxy on to use Optik TV, I've tried it with it on and with it off. It worked both ways for me so it may have been something else. That setting translates the addresses in the IGMP join messages, which is completely pointless if the Actiontec isn't doing NAT.
Is there a way to revert the firmware back to the original Telus firmware if anything happens?
