Never played the original.
Also I had downloaded the demo through ps3 first and liked it. Then noticed the game was available on the wii U, and went ahead and bought it.
It is super challenging and fun. Especially in hard mode. Being able to play online is an even greater experience. I hope there is a 3 in the works and I hope other developers get inspired from this game.
