Re: [NFL] Week 17 Games Discussion

Seattle has a better than 90% chance of winning, but San Francisco has a roughly 80% chance of winning,

What sort of math is that?

Put it to you this way, Seattle is a 12 point favorite to win at home while SF is a 16.5 point favorite to win. Bottom line is that I would say the percentages are approximately correct.

Well, Giants are out.
The Jets were never really in.
Who to root for now?

Right now I'm hoping AP breaks the single-season rushing record.

147 to go with 5:44 to go in the 1st quarter.

Yeah, I'd like to see them do some damage in the playoffs.
Also the Seahawks.

Yes definitely the Seahawks. They have been quietly doing it with not much said about them on the sports shows.I think the can go all the way.

43.2% of all stats are made up.

I thought that was only 42.3%, but don't wanna quibble on minor details.

I wish I'd been as right as I was this time during the suicide polls.

Redskins finally get back in playoffs after squeezing out a win against Dallas. And Dallas goes home for the season.

I'm going with HOU, GB, IND, SEA for the win.

...and everyone left the Skins for dead at 3-6... Their run has been crazy regardless of how far they go in the playoffs.. they have a ton of missing starters on defense..

There are few sure things in the NFL. Peyton will make it to the Playoffs. Tom Brady will make it ot the Playoffs. Dallas WILL lose a clinching game in December.

Romo fails in the clutch yet again. Yet he continues to be the QB go figure.

Yeah. Sanchez fails all of the time, we don't worry so much about the clutch situations anymore.

Although there was that situation against the Titans. The Jets inside the Titans 25, down by 4, with about 2 minutes to go. Sanchez throws an interception. His fourth of the game. The Jets defense stops the Titans cold, they punt, badly, to their own 25.
So the Jets have the ball with 45 seconds to go at the Titans 25 yard line, still down by only 4.

Sanchez fumbles the snap, Titans recover, game over, Jets out of the playoffs (which was inevitable, but still).

Things could be worse in Dallas.

Redskins are in the playoffs, and send Dallas home. This is pretty sweet.

By the way, Alfred Morris is pretty good.
