[WA] Seahawks going to the playoffs

After emerging victorious in last night's game vs the SF 49er's, the Seattle Seahawks are headed to the playoffs. Final score was Seattle Seahawks 42, Sanfran 49ers 13. All that remains TBD is what seeding the hawks get, and the possibility of a home game in the playoffs. Stay tuned for Week 17 - St. Louis @ Seattle, and SF @ AZ

Excellent news... I wish we'd be playing Interception Romo instead, but let's settle the ROY battle

It will probably help in the rookie of the year voting.

ROY voting already happened. Ballots were due last Friday, if I recall correctly. It is a regular season award, not post season.

If that is the case then Luck, Griffin III, and Wilson could only be judged based on regular season performance, bummer.

WTF? was that next to last Atlanta play?
what time out?

Good work by Russell and team in the last quarter.
They WILL be a team to watch next year.

Good question on that play. Yes, they will be a team to watch next season. As far as the play/timeout being overturned by the league or who ever else - not bloody likely.

It should've never gotten to that point. In the 1st half, they should've just taken the easy FG at least once, but maybe twice. And they shouldn't have allowed the Falcons to get into field goal position in what, 12 seconds!

Seems to me they got their playbook from the Huskies -- they also thought they had Bpise State beaten, except that the game wasn't over, just like here.

You are correct in that they should have taken the FGs when they had the chance, and should not have allowed ATL to get down field as quickly as they did in the fourth. Pete Carroll, and his coaching staff/players, for better or worse, made their decisions on those plays. Perhaps thinking it was a risk worth taking. In the end what's done is done and nothing can change that.
