I made a facebook account with a dummy name just to enter. I've since closed it. I don't see what the big problem is: it's a giveaway, not a lottery. I pay for internet, and if service is performing as advertised and I'm paying exactly what I'm supposed to be paying, then cool.

I'm open to suggestions that include Facebook as well as others too though. This was a contest meant to draw in potentially new customers. That also needs to be taken into account. Maybe existing customers could use something in the customer portal and non customers Facebook.

Dude. These forums are way way negative. Anybody reading them can see that easily. I don't think it represents reality and I keep working on the areas where I agree we could do better. When I see a thread complaining about us giving stuff away.. It really highlights for me just how outside of reality this place can be at times.

As for changes or stuff like that. Yeah, I'm my own guy. You need to listen to what I'm saying and get to know me. It seems you are trying to reference others things and because you see something that at a glance appears similar to something else you've seen, that it must surely be the same. I'm a pretty unique guy. Don't assume anything with me. I'm very open and willing to discuss just about anything.

As for drowning people out. I'm not trying to get you to apologize or think that you're trying to impress people. I care because it makes the conversations less open and inclusive. I'm trying to be open and inclusive. You can do whatever you want of course. And so can I .. So I said what I thought... I do also care about you though and I feel that you have the wrong impression so that's also why I've replied to you.

Seems these days that trying or doing anything that's not 100% perfect and executed exactly according to a few loud ppl on here is completely bad. As if there's no good in it at all.

I think there's a real need for level headed people to speak up and not be afraid. I hate this all or nothing mentality.

Just FYI on the 12 days of giveaways, just got this info now.

- Of the 12, 4 of the winners have been confirmed to be TSI customers.
- All have valid Ontario drivers licenses and addresses
- This was a contest, not a loyalty program.

I think what bothered some people on here is that some of the prizes were given out to facebook accounts that were a bit sketchy. They looked like they were made for the purpose of only entering giveaway. It doesn't bother me that non TSI customers won, it's prizes were given to questionable accounts.

The "problem" with Teksavvy is that the company has tended to be so open with its business decisions that customers feel that they have a right to tell the business how to operate!

"You shouldn't be given away prizes to non-customers". It's your business - give prizes to whoever you friggin' want! IT'S YOUR BUSINESS! :)

No Tx, *you* are making it about loyalty. We just tried doing what we thought was a good thing. We were pretty excited as we had never given away this kind of stuff before.

And as far as giving back. I think you're just simply uninformed. We do a ton. Just ask anybody in Chatham.

Our heart is very much in the right place. You seem to want everything perfect right now. No exceptions.

If you feel that we should do a specific customer appreciation thing.. Then just say that. Why label us with stupid comments like we don't give back? That just isn't true. You've seen us doing everything we can to try to treat people right. We're not perfect, we may not always agree but geez dude, we're sure as hell trying.

This has never been about customer appreciation. It was a contest created to get publicity. And considering the amount of non customer entries and views, it ended up being a good investment.
