Time Machine not appearing properly...

Click for full size
Two issues...
The red arrow points to the way Time Machine Finder displays items (at times, not always). The items aren't clickable. What causes this and how do I fix it.

In addition, I recently reformatted and installed so the first time I used Time Machine for backups, it said there were existing backups for my computer and asked if I wanted to link them (or something along those lines...can't remember). I said yes. On the right side, the list of backups goes back to September (which is correct) however, i can't scroll back past early December (I can only scroll to the last white bar on the right side). So, it's linked...sort of. How do I link it so I can use TM to see the September stuff?
Thanks!

You're right I'm not, but your answer is probably here : »pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html

Probably..

Unless it got much more stable and 'plays well with others' ( Routers/NAS/Hard Drives etc) then I haven't EVER felt the need to use Time Machine as it's supposed to be used...IE stable, and fancy shmancy backups.....I use the boring but proven cloning every now and again route!!

the issue is with your view options. I'm not certain which ones cause it but I have seen it before. Next time it happens cancel and try changing your view and then reopen.

Did you get a chance to look at the link I posted? Section E3 seems to touch on what you're experiencing.
