trparky posted : Version 1.1 Build 10

Made it so that the confirmation that a System Restore Point is only shown at the end of deleting all of the System Restore Points that the user has selected. In the past, for each System Restore Point that the user chose to delete the program gave a confirmation message box telling the user that the System Restore Point was deleted. This behavior has changed so that only at the end of deleting all of the selected System Restore Points a confirmation message box is shown.

If you already have my program, run the program and click on "Check for Updates" and the program will download the update and do the appropriate things to update the program.
--
Tom
Boycott AT&T uVerse! | Tom's Android Blog | AOKP (The Android Open Kang Project)

trparky posted : Version 1.1 Build 2 has been released with some minor clarifications on the pinned tasks. Some of the "Task" names didn't fit within the confines of the popup window that appears when you right-click on the pinned program icon. Apparently the names were too long.

This has been corrected as part of Build 2.

If you already have my program, run the program and click on "Check for Updates" and the program will download the update and do the appropriate things to update the program.
--
Tom
Boycott AT&T uVerse! | Tom's Android Blog | AOKP (The Android Open Kang Project)

trparky posted : Create and manage System Restore Points quickly and easily, all from a free simple program. No more drilling through multiple menus in Windows just to create a System Restore Point, now all you have to do is run this program and that’s it. Follow the simple program layout and you have your System Restore Point created in no time at all.

Plus, for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8, creating System Restore Points is even quicker and easier with this program. Just pin this program to the Taskbar and you have the ability to quickly create System Restore Points using one of the two pinned Tasks ("Create System Checkpoint" and "Create Custom Named") that the program creates. It’s that simple.

*** Create System Checkpoint — Creates a System Restore Point with the name of "System Checkpoint made by System Restore Point Creator"
*** Create Custom Named — Asks you what you want your System Restore Point to be name

And yes, this is a FREE program. The program was written by me, so if you have any questions, ask away. You can think of this as a semi-official help/support thread if you will.

The official product web site is below...
http://www.toms-world.org/blog/restore_point_creator

No installation required, just unzip and run.

Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP (some limitations), Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
Limitations on Windows XP include the inability to delete System Restore Points, Windows XP doesn't support this ability.
System Requirements: Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0

Future updates are distributed via the program itself and can be checked for and downloaded by clicking on the "Check for Updates" program in the program itself.

This program has been talked about in the Microsoft forum in the »[WIN8] Restore Points? thread.
--
Tom
Boycott AT&T uVerse! | Tom's Android Blog | AOKP (The Android Open Kang Project)
