Re: [Sci-Fi] Doctor Who: 2012 Christmas Special Just watched the episode. Pretty cool. And not what I expected regarding the companion. I expected one actress playing two characters (as was done with Martha), not one character who dies twice.
And a goof: The spiral staircase switches between clockwise and counter-clockwise in different shots.
EDIT II: The new TARDIS interior is a big improvement compared to the steampunk version.

I agree, an interesting twist.
The ponds were lost due to a fixed point in time. Now we seem to have a fixed person through out time.
It will be interesting to see this unfold. I didn't like how she was flirting and putting the moves on the Doctor, nor how he was willingly responding back. It's as if he already forget his wife, and the Pond's daughter.
Be interesting to see if they "forget her" [The doctor's wife], or bring her in at some later part of the season.
Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Or is he a failure for trying, and not succeeding at what he is attempting to do? What did you fail at today?.

well also how much the christmas episode directly links to the rest. As they are known for not completely being linked to the main storyline of a season.

said by Snakeoil: I totally loved her flirting with the Doctor. And the Doctor's response wasn't "willing" per se, more like in spite of himself. She was just what he needed to get back into saving the world(s)
