[modem/router] Connecting Westell 6100G modem to wireless router
I'm going to purchase a Linksy E1200 wireless router. I have a westell 6100G modem. I understand I have to put the westell into bridge mode and those instructions seem simple enough.
My question is during the installation of the Linksy E1200 do I need to enter the login and password for my Verizon account or do I need the login and password for the 6100G modem so the router can acquire a Public IP address? I know the default login is "admin" and the password is "password" on the Westell 6100G. I have my Verizon account name and password written down. I'm just confused on which I would need to use during installation.

If your modem is using PPPoE, then you need to use the Verizon account Log-in info.
If your modem is using Bridge-Routed Bridge with DHCP Enabled, then you might need to spoof / clone the WAN MAC Address of the Westell.
