windows 8,, Hated it initially now love it. PS Mail servers?

Just a quick suggestion as i am not seeing a windows 8 mail configuration tutorial for teksavvy that they may want one as the mail tile uses imap servers. I tought ihated windows 8 but now i am trying it and sticking to it i love it and best of all cost me 15 bucks! heh cheaper than most games i buy

is there Teksavvy Imap Mail server address's for the win8 mail tile? its actually quite a easy tile to use and i like it windows 8 is so going on my mothers pc

i setup my email quite easily but There is no tutorial whatsoever and the mail app in win 8 is not bad looking so i expect alot of people will be using it.

I know! I don't understand why people won't give it a chance. It's the first windows license I bought, not paying $200 for an operation system.

It's a steal at fifteen bucks. lol

I love Windows 8. I respect people who do not and am not objecting there reasons to not like it do not make sense but if you are someone who is very new to computers and have used Windows all your life you are definitely going to have some complications.

Can someone help me delete all my Windows 8 comments

If Mori likes it, I likes it. I have learned a long looooong time ago, don't ask questions, just do what Mori does.

My computers never give me grief when I do what Mori does.

i just cant get past the new ui, windows 8 was clearly designed for touch screens that and the hotmail user integration not a fan of.

Performance wise it benchmarks better than windows 7 on the same hardware. If only they could make a theme that looked like windows 7 id upgrade untill that day comes ill stick with windows 7.

or untill third party addons get better (classic shell, retro ui)

I guess to each there own, i always like being on the latest and greatest....but windows 8 not so attractive to me

I'm running Windows 8, and it looks exactly like Windows 7, save Metro which I swap in and out of with one click.

Stable classic shell and start button already available from reliable sources.

I use Start 8 to make Win8 behave much like Win7. The only major thing left is the whole Windows 8 looking like Windows 3.1 thing, and eventually something like Window Blinds will fix that.

Installed »startisback.com/ on my mother's new computer to prevent her from going insane. Easily worth the three bucks in the aggravation it saves.

Win 8 = garbage
you will never see it used widespread anywhere but the consumer market. It was designed for touch screen ( tablets ect )

Ill stick to win7

besides, all the posts above seem to indicate people that use windows 8 after making it behave like windows 7.

it already behaves like windows 7 out of the box, the only difference is folks not using metro functions. when in fact metro is most of what i find makes it awesome

I use it vanilla and it's great with keyboard and mouse. I don't know why you think it was "designed for touch screen" though. Is it because of the tiles? Windows always had tiles... what do you think desktop shortcuts are?

The new start screen works fine if you get used to popping open a full screen menu really fast. I use it to start normal windows applications. Didn't need to use any metro-style app yet but the support is nice.

The Metro UI was designed for touch screens. Windows 8 will lead to most if not all desktop/laptop systems having touch screens and a significant portion of the Windows 8 ready systems have touch screens.

I once loved XP it was the first OS I could install properly.

Nothing is forever though in computers.

I thought 7 was great the OS that even a bowl of pudding could install.

But hardware and software never sleeps and now 7 is not effortless to install and updating takes too long.

I am not 'in love' with 8 but I don't mind that itis simple to install. And 16 bucks is impossible to ignore.

But I really just want Windows tablets to hurry up and stop pretending to be Apple products (my feelings on their prices).

I bought it for 15$ to give it a try. Got used to metro and perfer using it when I can. Just wish the new Steam UI allowed for metro start callup.

For those of you that haven't got the windows 8 feuture pack for free you better get it quick.

»windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/wind···re-packs

it has media center dvd playback etc

the free offer runs out jan 31
