I use an Android app called Missed Call Deluxe. It notifies me of a missed voice call, voice mail, or text. Love it!

I noticed that the reviews on this app seems to say that it works better on some phones, than others.. I guess it's the luck of the draw? for my RAZR?

Also: My wife's new Samsung device is running Android 4.1.1, and mine is running 4.0.4. Her phone actually has an audible reminder that can be set, which is exactly what I'm looking for. is this a new feature in 4.1.1, that I don't have in 4.0.4? Is there anything I can do to my RAZR to force a 'check', and upgrade to 4.1.1?
