Well....

You can blame it on the broadcasters not the cable/satellite industry. If you look at networks like Time Warner Sports Net which request on average 4 dollars per subscriber, PAC12 etc. Also look at the local broadcasters renewing contracts with cable/satellite providers with 300% price increases.

The company is not going to just eat this in profits and must pass this on to consumers.

You need to complain to your elected officials to stop the broadcasters stronghold on the industry, offer alacarte options and not bundle a bunch of crappy low rated channels together with huge price increases.

And why do the broadcasters need the money? Oh that's right, to produce the content that people (granted not every subscriber in every case) demand. It's a never ending cycle.
