Teksavvy and FreePhoneLine.ca not working together

Happy Holidays. However, mine has been without a home phone since 3pm Dec 24.
I started my Teksavvy cable service on the 20th and pretty much immediately had intermittent service with FreePhoneLine. One of the FPL techs had me reset my ATA device and now I have absolutely no home phone service. Prior to moving to Teksavvy and the new Thomson DCM476 modem, I was with Rogers and FPL worked flawlessly for 2 1/2 years.
Here is where I'm at (with 2 FPL numbers):
If I call out to an external number or cell, from either of my 2 FPL numbers, the other end rings but no ringing or voices are heard on my end
If I call one line from the other, no ringing on either phone, nothing for 30 seconds then voice mail picks up (and the call is recorded in my ATA device)
If I call either FPL number from another line (or cell) it rings twice then a fast busy signal.
Teksavvy insists it is a FPL issue and of course FPL insists it is a Teksavvy issue, making me feel really comfortable right now.
i have a Linksys PAP2T ata and a Linksys WRT54GS router
(with DD-WRT firmware).
I have forwarded ports 5060 - 5062, 13001-13002, and have played with other various ports without success. Again this all worked flawlessly prior to the new modem coming in.
Teksavvy insists all ports on the modem are not locked and are open.
One update, Teksavvy has stated that they always recommend having the ATA in front of the router. Mine has always been behind and ports opened. On my current ATA it only has one Ethernet port so this is not possible. If needed I can get a new ata with a wan and lan Ethernet port. But I do not want to buy one if it is not needed.
If you haven't already done so, try powering off all equipment, then powering on modem, router and ATA, in that order, waiting for each to come ready before powering on the next device.
Confirm that your router gets a public IP address on the WAN side. If not, perhaps Teksavvy or the modem is doing NAT.
If you shut down the ATA and run the FPL softphone, can you make calls? Receive calls? If the answer to either is no, repeat the test with PC connected directly to modem. (You'll have to power cycle the modem each time you change the connected device.)
