[Theory] What is your thing in WoW?

Each one of us approaches the game differently and we have our passion in certain aspects, some of us go for hardcore raiding, family events, profession maxing, reputations, pet battles, achievements etc.

I would like you to share what is your thing on World of Warcraft.

For me the thing I enjoy the most it's all about learning how to play one spec for each class so I am constantly leveling alts, I also enjoy tanking the most out of the three roles in the game, so I always try to max at least one of each tanking class.

So I am Jobbie and I am an altoholic.

What about you?

Well I *did* like to raid and quest level alts but I am burnt out on the excessive dailies and now with CRZ on a PvP realm it is impossible to quest without being one shot by roving gangs of level 90s.

Raiding is kind of not happening with the holiday season so far.

I am only leveling alts via instances with my fiancee. I escort her lowbie toons with my main through runs and vice versa. Still a pain with groups ganking at most instance entrances.

I am kind of at the point of deciding whether or not I want to continue subscribing. If I don't, perhaps a move to a PvE realm. I don't know.

I, like Jobbie am typically an altoholic. Last xpac I had all toons maxed at level 85. This xpac I am only focused on my Monk at the moment. With moving to Hawaii and kids, I have to budget the time a little bit more these days. But, now that my Monk is about ready for regular raiding, pending scheduling conflicts, I may start leveling the DK, Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest, or Druid. I am just not sure which at this point.

I like to hang out in Goldshire on Moon Guard server and peek into the rooms at the inn.

I used to be more into raiding, saw part of but never finished BT in TBC, got Bane of the Fallen King in Wrath, but then went more and more casual in Cata and now MoP. LFR has made it more possible since I can see the instance, sort of experience the boss fights and maybe (yeah right) get some loot. PVP has always been a side thing with varying levels of importance. I hit my highest in vanilla with doing BG's enough to get the Knight-Captain title and in Cata getting the Grand Marshal title in RBG's. Now I just do dailies/farm while waiting for LFR to pop and maybe some heroics or scenarios on a weekend.

I like crafting, farming, and playing different classes.

Leveling a Panda monk has been more fun than anticipated.

Jack of all trades (not the achievement)?

I was into raiding but have never been in a very progression focused guild. We raided current content and wanted to do our best but we almost never go to the end of any tier I think (we may have actually downed anub when it was current in ToC, don't remember, and we got to Rag in current but didn't down him).

In LK I had every Northrend rep at 999/1000 exalted except kaluak and oracles/frenzyheart. I kinda took a break from the rep grind in cata and only really focused on the ones with the stuff I needed or wanted. I'm somewhere in the middle now for MoP.

If I had to pick one thing specifically I would pick achievements. I've always been interested in doing them but actually haven't really done all of the world event ones yet (I have some). Prior to Christmas I was actually working on Outland Raider achieve and have 3 left to go.

I do have every profession across my high level toons except enchanting (I do have enchanting on a low level mage) but my GF has maxed enchanting so I have it covered. I tried pet battles, it's OK but not really grabbing my attention that well.

I may also be an altoholic now that I think of it. Prior to the free 80 SoR, I had two max level (for Cata) toons, a DK and druid. I also have an 80 hunter on another server that got transferred over. Thanks to the free 80 I quickly had a max level priest and paladin too. Right now, my DK is my only 90; priest, druid and paladin are each 88, hunter is still 85.

I like working professions. I kind of wish there were profession only quests that would reward you with mats to build you profession skills.

After that, I'd say fishing was my next interest.

Crafting, farming, PVP, leveling-alts.

Been playing since mid-BC, pug-raided in WOTLK, pvp in cata and now MOP. I now have 4-90's, a 88 spriest and 87 shaman. Took down Sha for the first time yesterday, haven't stepped foot into a raid this expansion.

Currently focusing on my 90 hunter in pvp and dailies and leveling a WW monk.

I'm an altoholic, but my meds have it somewhat under control. lol

Up to my 3rd 90 (warrior, monk, hunter). LOVE the Monk class, hard not to, but I find myself on my main (warrior) more now as I need to get the reps up for the gear and I am trying to enjoy LFR raiding. So far so good. So much to do, so little time.

Hi, my name is Ant, and my biggest thing in wow is... everything. OCD kicks in full gear when I log. Any toon I do make to max level, I usually have max professions and other 'maxes' on that toon. My main tries to have EVERYTHING. From Achievements, to professions (including every recipe able to be gotten... cooking/LW/Alchy/etc), to rep (sad to say I only have 60 some exalted reps), to whatever else can be done in the game. I don't have the dedicated time to raid on a normal schedule, so I spend time when I have it doing little bit here and alittle bit there.

It sucks me in

I'd say I'm an altoholic, but I don't spend much time on them. I have toons on servers all over. Each one is a different class/race/gender so I could get a feel for the game from each point of view, but I always end up on my mains on echo.

I admit I even made a toon on Moon Guard because of that thread. Quite an odd place, but packed with people. I really think some of the people in my guild on echo would love that place.

I enjoy most aspects of the game, from exploring, to dungeons, to PVP arenas. I've not done raiding yet, if I can get slaghappy up there, that may change I hope. Some dungeons suck major ass, and I hate when I get them on random, but for the most part, it's good.

I started getting into the pet battles recently. So add that to the list.

Hola! I was definitely an altoholic, changing it up every few days for a different experience. I played mostly to look bad-ass so anything I had to do to get the gear, I did and to its fullest(dailies, dungeons, PVP, etc). I was never able to really get into raiding as I couldn't set a specific time-slot aside but was able to do a few here and there. 40-man MC back in vanilla was an awesome sight to behold.

I really have no idea why I play. I guess I'm invested now for some reason.

I don't have any RL ties to my guild. I have neither the time nor the desire to be a raider. I pay almost zero attention to the lore.

I guess it's because it's open-ended (pretty much) and I'm so used to it. That and there really isn't much else out there for a Mac. (I'm too lazy/cheap/anti M$ to put Windoze on my machine or my wife's)

PvP healing is my thing. I play Disc horde and Rsham on alliance. It is casual PvP which consists of RBGs, regular BGs and some occasional arena.

Do it. I used to have a mage on KJ... man, doing dailies meant to have a bullseye on my head... impossible to do them without getting killed at least once. I ended up moving to a PvE server: no more worries about some idiot waiting for an opportunistic kill or getting shot by the guards when clicking on the NPC triggers your auto attack because you clicked the enemy standing on top of it...

I got exalted with OCS, revered with GL and the klaxxi and I am on my way to get revered with AC and the shado-pan.

Looks like we will be guild transferring so that takes care of the PvP issue. Just a matter of settling on which server to move to.

Perhaps that was Blizzards intention all along. Make money from mass guild/player transfers.

I believe their intention was to make PvP realms completely different from Normal ones, supposedly as they were in the beginning. We are looking at Medium pop PvE realms skewed heavily in favor of the Alliance. Currently scouting 3 realms with one highly favored among them. Need to be patient, but that is difficult to do once you scan a healthy AH, lol.

Updates on this move will be handled in-game and via RealID/BattleTag.
