Have you sent a PM or posted in Windstream direct? If so are you working with any agent I can touchbase with, and potentially help work toward a resolution.

Do you even bother to look at that forum before asking that question? My name is right at the top.

I posted in there OVER A MONTH AGO.

I do not work »Windstream Direct forum. So I do not have you number. I see your speed post but how does that help me isolate your equipment and investigate the problem?

You don't have access to that forum, but you want me to post there so you can help, which is what you JUST said.

This doesn't even make logical sense.

Yes I have a post there, yes, I have been 'working' with someone there named Patricia M.

All that has happened is days on end of the modem not even connecting and when it does I get less than ONE megabit.

I actually gave you a choice of where to post, either in the direct forum where, I will be clear . .where another agent will assist you, or you can send me a PM in this forum. Although you are already working with another agent who is aware of the situation, it may simplify things if you continue to work with her. Have a good night.

As you can all clearly see, this is just a 'runaround'.

They tell you here to post in the locked down 'secret' forums, where they can lie to your further without any new customers seeing what they may get if they buy the service.

Yeah, this is just retarded. They even lowered my modem's connection speed, to 7, telling me it would help, and are still billing me for 12.

Haven't seen even 2 in a year.

We do not have 7mbps speed profiles. More likely you were lowered to 6mbps for stability reasons (distance, line quality, etc.) and slightly over provisioned.

Oh really?

And results:

Another day, even less access.

Did not even get my typical 1am-3am window last night, so I've had less than 1mbit for almost 48 hours now.

I've lost thousands of dollars due to this, since I work from home and require working net to do so.

Soon it'll be time to get a new career, and give up internet all together (the latter, many of us will have to accept), since there is obviously no hope of it being fixed this year, or next.

Do you have a business account? It is possible that a business account and the different equipment related to a such a account may help with some of your problems. You can have your account changed to a Business account by calling 800-843-9214.

You are suggesting I throw more money at you, and hope then they you giving me better than nothing?

Not only that, if it does indeed make a difference, that is proof that you have the capability to provide the service I am paying for to this residence, and are choosing not to.

Fraud. Theft. Are there any other words for that?

You are, or perhaps I was not clear enough. We offer business accounts that are dedicate t1's, or EIA. Dedicated circuits with service agreements, including 24 hour service dispatches. If a customer is using a residential account for business, and losing money for whatever reason (latency, cable damage due to storms,) then a dedicated circuit would be a reliable alternative.

Dedicated T1(s) + potential of having to do the bonding yourself = $$$$$$
EIA Costs (Ethernet Handoff over more than likely bonded copper) = $$$$$$$$$$$$

Tough Choices

So yeah, I called up the friendly sales people, and they don't provide T1 service to here, but they'd be happy to give me EIA for $300/mo.

I guess you just can't get internet from Windstream without paying hundreds of dollars a month.
