reply to monchis It's been a few years since I've been into LA, but I always try to fit in time for lunch at El Tepeyac in Boyle Heights when I'm in the area.

My all time fav is El Caserio in the Silverlake District, just off the 101. Ecuadorian and Italian food - strange combo, but delicious! There are 2 restaurants both named the same within a couple of blocks of each other, a very nice one, and a coffee-shop style one.
