You might want to find out why the IP was blacklisted in the first place.
It would probably help your case if you could tell them why AT&T was wrong to blacklist the IP, or that you have corrected the problem that caused the IP to be blacklisted.
In the meantime, if you are running your own mail server smarthost around the problem.
