 | How do my signals look? I was reading another "signals" post and saw the FEC's being mentioned as a cause for concern... how is this(notice the uptime, that was due to me moving stuff but seems like a lot for a short time)(Also this is an Arris DG860A.. what does the "advanced" menu show you and/or let you do? Its got the stupid "daily password" anyone have a good generator that works? I haven't found any.

JabbuPremium join:2002-03-06 | Some very minor errors on the downstream, 0.00017% uncorr, nothing I would even bother with.
Everything else looks good. |

 | Main reason I ask is that I've seen .8% packet loss and it jumps sometimes enough to knock me off google chat. Previously my provider replaced the cable modem and it improved a little bit. The packet loss(from observing MTR traces both to and from my IP) shows the loss being between the cable modem and the next IP hop.
Funny thing I noticed which is counter to what I've been taught, is that i have packet loss at low usage/idle but when I loaded down the connection the packet loss lessened... I know odd, but anyone know why? |

 | I too have some slight problems but with my SNR though. Was at 40 and above and now it is at 36! why? I'm thinking upgrades or a node split is the possible cause or otherwise CMTS re-configure. |
