[CATV] Charter is offering free digital box for basic cable user

I am thinking of getting these boxes and see if the HDMI over Cat6 type products would work. I do not have any place to put boxes around my TVs. I also have two CAT6/1 cable run around all of the tvs. What do you think? I do know that I would have figure something out with the channel change.

I think they're offering a standard def box for free. Standard definition boxes won't have an HDMI output.

You have proof of this?

I think it depends on which pricing they're in. I've been informed if a customer is in the old pricing they can get 2 sd boxes for free for 1 year when the analog service is dropped in their area.

Unfortunately we don't have anyone from Charter that could post here and set this straight.
