Wireless Issue

Have had TWC for about 4 months now never had any wireless issues till about 3 weeks or so ago, can't play online games keep getting lag connection interrupted, web pages take forever to load or timed out on iphone ipad laptop youtube use to take a few secs to load a video now minutes not sure what's going on already had the router replaced same problem.

If i reset the router it fixes the issue it seems for a few minutes then it starts up again.

Hey I'm having the same issue - started about a month ago. I've had the techs out several times and had everything replaced. They seem to think its foreign voltage from something in my house that is getting in the coaxial cable and creating a block to the signal. If you get this figured out - PLEASE let me know what you did. Thanks.

I am Also having the same problem I think it might be just something within time Warner themselves cause a lot of people I have talked to have been saying the same thing

If you're not having issues hardlined, it's simply the router. Either the functionality is bad or whatever. I recommend getting your own router for other reasons, namely your own security, better NAT features and programming.

I don't know about you guys but I have the same problems when connected via ethernet cable and wifi is turned off.

I'm about to shell out some serious cash and have an electrician come check it out. I have a TW tech. coming sunday - if they can't figure it out then I'm going to consider dropping TW altogether. Books are starting to look better all the time as this problem with pings is driving me nuts. lol

I'm thinking about trying a few of these:

Nope desktop works fine connected xbox 360 directly also works great now it's just the wireless.

You may be on a congested channel. Most routers default to 6, try 1 or 11. There are many other things that can cause interference as well, regardless of channel

If changing the channel doesn't work, try having the gateway replaced either with your own or another TWC modem. IF it still happens, you need to see if you can find the source of interference.

I recently upgraded my Internet to extreme & been having problems ever since the upgrade. I have the Motorola d3 and we connect using 3 iPads, 3 laptops and 2 xbox. My wifi keeps disconnecting & connection interrupted on XBL. Every time I call Oceanic, they can't help me & will send a tech out. Is there anything else I can do to fix this? My kids play XBL wireless & gets disconnected, they play with Ethernet cord & still get disconnected!

Read my reply directly above yours. See if it happens wired. If not, try changing the channel. if that doesn't work, I'd suggest getting your own router. If that doesn't work, there's something else that's causing the problem and you have to find that.
