Besides connecting the cell phone to your LAN, what else does the extender do?
Have you tried setting the QOS on the router to give priority to the extender? Assuming your router allows that.
Have you tried shutting down the extender to see if everything else gets better?
The extender basically functions as a mini cell tower, taking the air transactions and moving them onto the internet. I've power cycled everything (even had the extender unplugged for a few days). The extender works fine as long as the tablets aren't online.
I have tried tweaking the QOS settings on the router - giving the extender the highest priority, the laptops 'normal' priority, and the other devices the lowest.

Ah, ok...I was thinking of a wifi extender, not a micro cell.
