On another note: Anyone play the game Shadowbane? It let you build towns and have wars against other guilds, open world PvP. Great crafting system....and something I thought would catch on with every other mmo but never did...Speed boosts while running on roads!!!!!!!! (not sure why no other dev has ever done this, but it was a brilliant idea imho.)

A group of people worked hard at recreating the server side of the software. They re-launched the game as a free to play game.
So if your looking for a Space MMO that is free to play, give Earth and Beyond a try.
