Re: [Cable] Which router to buy for DCM 476 modem?

Thanks for all the answers! Based on your responses and further research I've decided to change my choice to Asus RT-N56U. I checked all the models you mentioned but most of them are too expensive for my budged at the moment (like Asus RT-N66U)

Do you think Asus RT-56U is a good choice or should I stretch my budget more? I don't want to spend more than $100 for the router.

Thanks!

66U has more features (such as ipv6 which Rogers doesn't even support), and can double as a media server. Its essentially the upgraded version of the 56U. Its alright.

Just make sure to disable the WPS button.

I know it has more features but its more than $200. What is the WPS button and why should I disable it?

Short Version: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Prot···Security

Long version:
I'd recommend either reading through Leo & Steve's Security Now, or watch the episode itself:

Video: »twit.tv/show/security-now/337

Correction/More info the next day: »www.grc.com/sn/sn-338.htm
Do a search for WPS, and then start reading that paragraph & down.
