[hard drive] S.M.A.R.T Reallocated Sectors Count

I just got WD 750GB USB 3.0 My Passport Essential SE HD. When i have checked with S.M.A.R.T utilities SpeedFan and CrystalDiskInfo both are showing 140 errors. Another issue is the BIOS does not see this HD , but Windows does.

Should i RMA the drive?

Well what do you know. I have hooked up another WD portable HD, and i have gotten exactly the same results.

You are interpreting the SMART attributes wrong.

Please provide screenshots of the Info and Health tabs for each drive using HD Tune Pro (trial version is fine) if you want me to do an analysis.

After giving HD Tune Pro a try now i am understanding more about S.M.A.R.T. Seems like WD drive is fine, but Seagate showing a lot of errors.

Both drives in the screenshots are in near-perfect condition. The Seagate shows 6 ATA command timeouts with no other details (you would need to use smartmontools to look at the SMART error log to see if they showed up there). I wouldn't worry about it. All the other attributes are fine. Again -- your statement that the Seagate drive is "showing a lot of errors" -- is a firm indicator you're unfamiliar with how to read/interpret SMART attributes.
