Re: Data caps
Xbox I do not think pull that much data. Though I believe some uses like the talk etc. add some. Phone is minimal at best not even a real blip and computer depends on use. Torrents etc yes anything else not really.
Streaming video like netflix or Amazon streaming do use bandwidth.
Still on my Cable i haven't hit the 200 gb I have yet even with some Netflix and Amazon though we do not live on the TV as a disclaimer.
If you had multiple TVs with Netflix or the like streaming going all at the same time for hours on end yes 250gb could be eaten up easily.
Though I do routinely hit over 150 gb a month. So not a light user by any means. Especially not what an ISP would like as a light user.
In regards to xbox live, true it doesn't use that much data. Nice thing about Netflix, on their site you can select the quality of the video in order to use up less data, which, I'd like to make the point I have mine set at the highest quality since I have no data cap, yet. Right now for HD movies/shows, it uses roughly 2.3Gb per hour and only 1Gb per hour for none HD. I do admit, with not being able to work, I am streaming video constantly throughout the day/night. Figure while I have the time off, might as well relax and enjoy it the best I can.
